She attended schools at Madison and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1945. On March 12, 1954 she was married to Edward J. White. Some years ago she had worked for the Phillips Packing Co. in Cambridge as well as Bambrick's Pharmacy and Clayton's Seafood. Most recently she had worked for the Farmers Home Administration as a Secretary. Mrs. White was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church, and had been an animal lover. She had been a patient at Dorchester General Hospital since last Friday where she passed away early Monday morning.
Survivors include her husband Edward J. white of Cambridge, one son Edward J. White, Jr. of Madison, one sister Martha Evans of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters Irene North, Caroline Howard and Mary Sanders.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at Old Trinity Churchyard with the Rev. Samuel H. McWilliams officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. White's name to the Humane Society of Dorchester Co., P.O. Box 132, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
Addie L. White, 81 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday January 19, 2009 at the Dorchester General Hospital. She was born at Madison on October 1, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Ira D. and Louise Bromwell Sanders.
