Charlotte K. (Hastings) Dinkel

Charlotte K. Dinkel, 72, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Salisbury on December 1, 1950 and was a daughter of the late Gardner and Eileen Scott Hastings.

Mrs. Dinkel graduated from Delmar High School class of 1969. On September 21, 1990, she married Franklyn W. Dinkel, Jr. who passed away on August 27, 2000. She worked at Airpax, American Greetings and Walgreens. Mrs. Dinkel enjoyed genealogy and loved her dog Walker.

She is survived by a son William Dinkel, three stepchildren Lina Mae Dinkel, Lisa Pepper and Frank Dinkel, several step grandchildren, a brother Edwin Hastings and wife Teresa, a sister Joyce Bowden and husband Roland and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dinkel is preceded in death by a brother Bruce Hastings.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 1pm at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. Randall T. Blackmon officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
