Steven K. Edge, 49, of Crocheron passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on March 6, 1959 and was a son of William B. Edge and the late Dorothy Airey Edge.
Steve graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School. He served in the Army National Guard. On October 15, 1977 he married the former Kim Tall. He was self employed and operated Tonto's Express. Some of his hobbies were hunting and fishing. He was a past member of the Cambridge Moose and the Lakes-Straits Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife Kim T. Edge of Cambridge, two sons Derrick Edge of Cambridge and Darren Edge of Anderson, SC, a granddaughter McKenzie Edge, his father William B. Edge and his wife Martha of Hurlock, two sisters Debra Brannock and husband Tom of Church Creek and Kim Edge of Cambridge, an aunt Delores Short of Cambridge, two step brothers Philip Brooks of East New Market and Robert Brooks of Cambridge, a step sister Kendra Brooks of Hurlock, two nieces Toni DeGroat and husband Pat of Seaford and Rebecca Brannock of Church Creek, two nephews Brian Burton and wife Jennifer of East New Market and Ryan Schulke of Cambridge. Besides his mother, Steve is preceded in death by a brother William Alvin Edge.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Cambridge with Rev. Richard Prahl officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 97 Sandy Hill Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
