A. Frances Wright-Mills, 81, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born in Cambridge on February 15, 1933 to the late William T. and May Ida Schultz Green.
Frances graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1951. She retired from Western Publishing. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 91 and was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7460. Frances enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and gathering once a month at Suicide Bridge Restaurant with members from her graduating class. She was also a very devoted, caring and loving mother.
She is survived by three children E. Peter Wright, Jr. of Cambridge, Donna Landon and husband Calvin of Cambridge and Tina Kight and husband Irving of North Carolina, seven grandchildren Thomas P. Wright, Richard L. Wright, Robert Hubbard, Jr., Robin Bell and husband Danny, Gene Ashton, Kristen Weatherly and husband Devin and Tiffany Kight, seven great grandchildren Ethan and Isabella Wright, Karla Webb, Chloe, Coen, Coral, and Casey Bell and is also expecting another great grandchild. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by three siblings Leroy Green, Arnold Green, Dorothy Green and a great grandchild Lauren Nicole Webb.
Pallbearers will be David Bailey, Dean Bailey, Thomas Wright, Irving Kight, Matthew Blake and Calvin Landon.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Christina Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21801.
