Adeline P. Creighton

Adeline P. Creighton, 89, of Cambridge passed away on February 2, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1922 in Greensboro, MD and was a daughter of Howard and Sarah Cannon Pritchett.

She graduated from Greensboro High School. On March 15, 1943 she married Eugene F. Creighton. She worked and retired from Lednum's Jewelers. Mrs. Creighton enjoyed knitting, sewing and traveling. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she joined on April 21, 1946.

She is survived by her husband Eugene F. Creighton of Cambridge, a son Barry Creighton and wife Judy Cox Creighton of Virginia Beach, VA, two grandsons Geoffrey Creighton and wife Jennifer of Leesburg, VA, Scott Creighton and wife Katie of Baltimore, MD and a granddaughter Laura Creighton of Arlington, VA and two great grandsons Noah and Ethan Creighton of Leesburg, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, Mrs. Creighton is preceded in death by a sister Eloise Hall.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Jay Hurley officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
