A. Gibby Robinson, Jr.

A Gibby Robinson, Jr., 68, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Cambridge on March 28, 1947 and was a son of the late Albert Gibby Robinson, Sr. and Emma Reynolds Robinson.

Gibby attended schools in Dorchester County. On May 21, 1971, he married the former Jane Wrightson. He was a waterman his entire life. Gibby enjoyed fishing, playing cards, hunting, reading the Bible and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a member of the Watermen Association.

Gibby is survived by his wife Jane Robinson of Cambridge, three children Dania Moxey and husband Jason and their children Matthew, Jeremy and Brooke Moxey of East New Market, Gibby Robinson III and wife Ashley and their children Gibby Robinson IV and Brice Robinson of Cambridge, and Ryan Robinson and his children Ryan Robinson, Jr. and Jemma Robinson of Cambridge, two sisters Sylvia Muscarella and husband Larry of Stevensville and Crystal R. Brannock and husband Glenn of East New Market, sister in law Sharon Todd and her husband John of East New Market, two nephews Chad Todd and Kris Todd and two nieces Jamie Burt and Jennifer Brannock.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Rossy, Jim Burt, Harold Robinson, Dave Nickerson, Tommy Collins, Curtis Phillips, Jerome Robinson and Donnie Simmons.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Sumner Jones and Rev. Michael LaClair officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Avenue, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
