Albert A. "Art" Pete, Jr.

Albert A. “Art” Pete, Jr., 73, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on March 21, 1950 and was a son of the late Albert A. Pete, Sr. and Mary Rose Pritchett Pete.

Mr. Pete attended schools in Cambridge. He served in the Army National Guard for 30 years and retired at the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Pete was married to the former Margaret Lambdin who passed away on June 9, 2019 and later on January 9, 2021 married the former Charlotte Marine. After retiring from the military, Art worked at Walmart and later at Royal Farms and Choptank Laundromat. He enjoyed camping, playing solitaire and watching wrestling. He was a member of the Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, 29th Division Association and Park Lane Church Of God.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte Pete, two daughters Angela Safrit and Katrina Schuyler (RC), three stepchildren Tina Wooters, Greg North (Vicki) and Karen Baez, several grandchildren Chelsea, Brittany, Ashley, Amaya, Craig, Tori, Tanner, Denny, Charlie, Matthew, Robert, Sammy, Erin, Ramsey and Dylan and several great grandchildren, two sisters Frances Dierks and Betty Ann Bomberger and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his first wife, Art is preceded in death by three sisters Eleanor Willey, Jean Murphy and T.C. Logan.

Pallbearers will be Joe Pete, Craig Schuyler, David Dierks, Denny Wooters, Matthew Wooters, and Robert Wooters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Ray Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
