Alice Faye Murphy

Alice Faye Murphy, 70, of Bishops Head passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on March 1, 1943 and was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Alda Meredith Murphy.
Faye grew up in Bishops Head and graduated from South Dorchester High School. She worked at the country store in her parents' home for many years. She then took care of her parents when they became ill. After they passed, she made their house her home for the last several years.
She is survived by her brother Phillip Murphy and wife Judy of Grasonville and two nephews Chris Murphy of Texas and Jason Murphy and wife Tennie of Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. with Rev. David L. Kreek officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
