Alva Mae (Jones) Mills
October 31, 1930 — April 2, 2016
Alva M. Mills, 85, of Crocheron passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Toddville on October 31, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Maysie Todd Jones.
Mrs. Mills attended schools in Dorchester County. On August 11, 1982, she married Robert Gibby Mills, who passed away on March 31, 1983. Mrs. Mills was a crab picker for several crab houses.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by two brothers Edgar Jones and Allan Jones and two sisters Delores Todd and Eula Pritchett and a special nephew who was raised like a son Jimmy Todd.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11 am at Dorchester Memorial Park. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
