Amelia A. Faine, 74, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Cambridge on September 3, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Henry Otto Schnoor and Esther Anna Lindner Schnoor.
She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1959. Mrs. Faine was employed by the State of Maryland for 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. Mrs. Faine attended Cambridge Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband Russell G. Faine of Cambridge, two nieces Barbara Elaine Wheatley and husband Charles and Sherry Bromwell all of Cambridge, a great niece Carla Anne Todd and husband Jake, three great nephews Matthew M. Bromwell and wife Michele, David C. Wheatley and wife Danielle and Stephen W. Wheatley and wife Sarah, great-great nieces and nephews Emily Todd, Wren Wheatley, Jordan Todd, Phoenix Wheatley, and Immanuel "Manny" Wheatley, and two sisters in law Gerry Hardy and Norma Ewing, a brother in law and his family Leonard O. Meyer and wife Faye, their daughters Amy Meyer Argot and husband Ken and their children Sarah, Racheal and Leah, Karen Meyer Hoy and husband Derrick and their children Zackery, Luke and Marcibeth. Besides her parents, Mrs. Faine is preceded in death by a sister Gertrude E. Schnoor Meyer.
Pallbearers will be Jake Todd, David Wheatley, Stephen Wheatley, Max Schnoor, Fred Schnoor, Charles Wheatley and Bobby Brooks.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Cambridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cambridge Wesleyan Church, c/o Paulette Meekins, 1108 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
