Anna Mae Elzey, 76, of Easton passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Easton on June 24, 1939 to the late Samuel G. and Anna M. Crew Crossley. Anna was raised by her foster parents Lum and Dorothy Miles.

She attended and graduated from Easton High School class of 1958. After high school she worked for Reeds' Drug Store and WT Grant Company. Anna married James E. Stevens on November 2, 1958. While married she traveled extensively while her husband was in the Marine Corps. She later moved to Cambridge in 1970. Anna married Roy Elzey on November 13, 1971. She worked at House in the Pines in Easton, the Cambridge House, Choptank Laundry & Dry Cleaning, Woolworth's in Cambridge, from 1982 until it’s closing in 1993, Mallard Bay for seven years and Chesapeake Woods Center. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed bowling, walking, working and spending time with friends.

Anna is survived by one daughter Tina Elzey of Cambridge, one son Eric Stevens and husband A.J. of Delray Beach, FL, four grandchildren Christopher B. Stevens and wife Angie, Jason L. Lindsay, Christina Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas, great grandchildren Grayson and Akayla Stevens, sisters Ethel R. Smith and husband Phillip of Ridgley, Ann Marsh of Cordova and Virginia Sherwood of Hillsboro, one brother Samuel G. Crossley of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. Besides her birth parents she is preceded in death by her foster parents Lum and Dorothy Miles, a brother Wilbur Miles, a daughter Anna Mae Stevens and two sons Franklin L. Stevens and Christopher Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Jason Lindsay, AJ Stevens, Christopher B. Stevens, Forest Laird and Wade Miles.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Abraham Lankford officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613, to help defray funeral costs.
