Anna L. Mills, 85, of Denton passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Envoy of Denton. She was born in Cambridge on November 20, 1923 and was a daughter of Ansel D. and Catherine Elzey Abbott.
Mrs. Mills attended schools in Cambridge. On July 21, 1984 she married Lockwood "Slabwood" Mills. He passed away on March 2, 1996. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons H. Wayne Bramble of Queen Anne and Ronald L. Bramble of Harrington, DE, five grandchildren Tammy L. Bramble, David Lee Bramble, Thomas W. Bramble, Timmy Cannon and Billy Cannon, six great grandchildren, two sisters Helen Kinnamon of Austin, TX and Darlene Burton of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by a daughter Kay Cannon, a brother John Abbott and a sister Madeline Hitchens.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 1 p.m. at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
