Anne Jones Stichberry

Anne Jones Stichberry, 72, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on July 8, 1952 and was a daughter of the late James Radcliffe Jones, Jr. and Emeline Slacum Jones.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1970. After high school, Anne attended Delmarva Beauty Academy where she received her certificate as a beautician. Later, she started a daycare, before going to work at Airpax and sometime later at Jones Implement which is now Atlantic Tractor. Anne enjoyed collecting rabbit figurines, avid reader, cutting grass, riding her golf cart, and loved being with her granddaughter Emeline "Eme". On May 26, 1979 she married James H. “Stich” Stichberry.

She is survived by her husband James "Stich" Stichberry of Cambridge, a daughter Jamie Hodges and husband Eric of Cambridge and a son Scott Stichberry of Cambridge, her granddaughter Emeline "Eme", a stepson James H. Stichberry III and wife Kim of Fort Meade, four step grandchildren Jayson Stichberry, Courtney Imbrogulio, Megan Couch and Mandy Ruzzi, a brother James R. “Jimbo” Jones III and wife Carol of Cambridge, and two nephews James R. “Rad” Jones IV of New Jersey, William Dail Jones of Salisbury. Besides her parents, Mrs. Stichberry is preceded in death by a brother William N. Jones.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11am at the Jones Family Cemetery on Pig Neck Road in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the Neck District Fire Company, 954 Cooks Point Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
