Ann R. (Rue) Burns

Ann R. Burns, 91, of Eden, MD passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born in Cambridge on January 25, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Francis and Marjorie Thomas Rue.

Mrs. Burns graduated from Cambridge High School class 1949 and was a bookkeeper for Dorchester Fertilizer. On June 8, 1958, she married Robert A. Burns who passed away on February 16, 2010. She was a member Antioch United Methodist Church.

She is survived by several cousins. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Burns is preceded in death by two brothers Thomas J. Rue and Harry D. Rue.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Dr. Nan Duerling officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, c/o Kathleen Rineholt, 2118 Horns Point Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
