Anthony B. Adams, II, 80, of Trappe passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Trappe on August 22, 1935 to the late Maurice T. and Donna E. Harrison Adams.

After Anthony graduated from Trappe High School, he joined the United States Air Force. Anthony married the former Joan Simmons on April 5, 1959. He worked on contract labeling for Maurice T. Adams and Sons and later at S.E.W. Friel of Queenstown. Mr. Adams enjoyed watching NASCAR and football and in his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Cambridge American Legion Post 91.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Adams of Trappe, four sons Mike Adams and wife Mary of Trappe, Tony Adams of Hurlock, Anthony B. Adams, III of Trappe and Timothy Adams and wife Dottie of York, Pennsylvania, a daughter Nancy Catherine Adams and husband Allen Mills of Trappe, nine grandchildren Melissa, Aaron, Tony, Kristi, Ben, Joel Evan, Megan and Frankie, eight great grandchildren, seven siblings Ormond Adams, Dorrell Adams and wife Julie, Rev. John Ellery Adams and wife Wendy, Maureen Twining and husband Paul, Rodney Adams, Michael Adams and Florence Bowdle and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Nicholas Adams, Donovan Adams and David Adams, one sister Rosemary Baynard and one grandson Tyler Adams.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock with Rev. John Ellery Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge American Legion Post 91, P.O. Box 773, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
