Audrey M. Willoughby

Audrey M. Willoughby, 81, of Galestown passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born in Preston on August 24, 2007 and was a daughter of the late Charles V. and Matilda Lubba Kenton.

Mrs. Willoughby attended schools in Preston. On June 29, 1946 she married Raymond Willoughby. He passed away on November 29, 1996. She worked as a caregiver. Mrs. Willoughby was a member of the Moose Lodge in Cambridge.

She is survived by a daughter Brenda Bradley and husband Ronnie of Federalsburg, a son Chuck Willoughby and wife Diane of Galestown, four grandchildren Jennifer Lindorm and husband Jeremy of Federalsburg, Amanda Willoughby of Federalsburg, Jason Bradley and wife Jessica of Federalsburg and Phillip Wesley Willoughby and wife Jessica of St. Michaels, three great grandchildren Makayla Lindorm, Ayden Bradley and Alyssa Bradley, three sisters Irene Chambers of Preston, Betty Lou Lare of Preston and Wanda North of Henderson, two brothers Charles Kenton of Preston and Franklin Kenton of Delmar, DE and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Alice Perry and a brother David Kenton.

Pallbearers will be Wes Willoughby, Jason Bradley, Larry Merrick, Wayne Chambers, Dale Kenton, Alan Kenton, Billy Kenton, Tony Kenton and Johnny North.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with Rev. Denzil T. Cheek officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery near Hurlock. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
