Audrey J. (James) Willoughby

Audrey J. Willoughby, 89, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on March 11, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Charles A. James and Sarah Fountain James.

Mrs. Willoughby graduated from Cambridge High School. On July 15, 1967, she married Howard L. “Dude” Willoughby who passed away on June 4, 2015. She retired from C&P Telephone Company and later from the Eastern Shore State Hospital Center. Mrs. Willoughby enjoyed shopping.

She is survived by her son Scott Willoughby of Salisbury and a niece Catherine Turner of Salisbury. Besides her parents and her husband, Audrey is preceded in death by a brother Donald James.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:45 AM at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
