Barbara E. Windsor, 75, of Wingate passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Bishops Head on May 14, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Richard and Ida May Reeves Wingate.
Mrs. Windsor attended school in Crapo. On December 9, 1950 she married Wm. Franklin Windsor. She worked for Dorchester Crab Company and also worked with her husband on the water. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. Mrs. Windsor was a member of several churches in the Wingate and Bishops Head area and was also a member of Lakes a�" Straits Volunteer Fire Company.
She is survived by her husband Wm. Franklin Windsor of Wingate, three children Frankie Windsor and wife Joyce of East New Market, Carson Windsor and wife Karen of East New Market and Cheryl Dawson of Wingate, two grandchildren Kyle F. Dawson and Jodi Grsriel, two great grandchildren Olivia Grsriel and Molly E. Grsriel and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Windsor is preceded in death by a brother Percy Wingate and a sister Hilda Greene.
Pallbearers will be John Ashton, Rudy Robbins, Charles Hayward, Mike Rossy, William Edwards and Eddie Todd.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Ray Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
