Betsy Jo Shipley

Betsy Jo Shipley, 76, of Hebron passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. She was born on September 7, 1947 and was a daughter of the late Harold T. and Jessie “Peggy” Parks Shipley.

Ms. Shipley graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1965. She worked for the Maryland State Lab in Salisbury. Ms. Shipley was an avid reader and was a member of the Maryland State Retired Employee’s Association.

She is survived by several cousins Terri Mills and husband Gary, Jonathon Mills and wife Kayleigh, Kaitlyn Teat and husband Ryan, Scott Cheesman and wife Regina and Katie Dendorfer and husband Paul, Robbie Bennett and wife Jackie, Sylvia Cheesman and a very close friend Vickie Hickman.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hosier Memorial Churchyard with Pastor Shelley McCollister officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
