Bettie Harrison (Harrison) Bramble

Bettie Harrison Bramble, 89, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her son’s home in Salisbury. She was born in Trappe on January 3, 1927 and was a daughter of the late Charles W. Harrison and Mary Kennedy Harrison Cahoon.

Mrs. Bramble graduated from Easton High School class of 1944. She worked for C&P Telephone Company for over 33 years. Mrs. Bramble moved to Cambridge after she married her husband Emerson T. Bramble, Sr. on May 21, 1945. He passed away on October 17, 2012. She was a member of  Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years, past president of Dr. Hines Bible School Class and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by a son Emerson T. Bramble, Jr. of Salisbury, a grandson Emerson T. Bramble, III and wife Jannelle of Denton and two great grandsons Jackson Wade Bramble and Theodore Louis Bramble and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Bramble is preceded in death by two brothers Charles Philip Harrison and Charles R. Harrison.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11 am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Christina Blake officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
