Betty Jean (Todd) Jones

Betty J. Jones, 83 of Hudson, passed away with her family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on April 1, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Lizzie Jones Todd.

She graduated Cambridge High School class of 1949. After high school worked with Ed Nabb, Sr., Bell Telephone Company and later at the Dorchester County Sanitary District and retired in 1994.

She is survived by her children Glenn Lindy Bramble, Jr. (Linda) of Cambridge, Ruxton R. Bramble (Vickey) of Hurlock and Lori R. Bramble (Wayne Hughes) of Hudson, a grandson Jason E. Bramble (Amber), a step granddaughter Theresa Tran, two great grandchildren Cassidie Bramble and Emily Bramble, two grand dogs JoJo and Baby, two sisters Isabell Phillips of Salisbury and Patricia Hurley and husband Chuck of East New Market, and several nieces and nephews. Also, a caregiver and special friend Nina Lewis. Besides her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by two brothers Howard Insley Todd and Charles William Todd and five sisters Elizabeth Lyons, Frances Wrightson, Josephine Brinsfield, Dorothy Matthews and Mary Ann Foxwell.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11 am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
