Betty Gail (Goslin) Johnson, 55, lost her battle with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and passed away on July 28, 2021 at Palm Garden Health & Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born on November 23, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Barbara Jean Hochreiner and Nelson and Edna Mae Goslin.
She was raised and attended schools in Cambridge, Maryland. She graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1984. She was known as Gail to her friends and family in Maryland. In her later 20’s after visiting Florida, Gail liked it so much that she decided to move there. Although she did move back to Maryland in 2016, but after 3 years here, she missed Florida and moved back in 2019. Most of her friends in Florida knew her as Betty or Betty Gail. Gail was a free spirit and loved to be by the beach. She worked a variety of jobs in her life time, from landscaping, pool cleaning, taxi driver and convenience store cashier to name just a few. She loved to watch football and any type of crime show on TV.
Gail had been in failing health for the last several years after being diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
She is survived by her sister Ruthie Robbins and husband Greg of Federalsburg, a brother Nelson Goslin Jr. and wife Lydia of Cambridge, half-sister Brandy Fanton and husband Art of Cambridge, niece Hannah Goslin, nephews Anthony Hughes, Hunter Hughes, Wm. Nelson Goslin and Charlie Price, stepsons Neal Fleming and Timmy Fleming, along with several great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.
Gail had a few special friends, Ellen, Alice and Naomi that always tried to look out for her and help when they could, especially once she got sick.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11 am at Dorchester Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
