Beverly M. (Moore) Hurley

Beverly M. Hurley, 89, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on April 1, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Earl and Frances LesCallette Moore.

Mrs. Hurley graduated from Cambridge High School class 1948.  She did secretarial work for several businesses in the county. On February 15, 1957, she married Major E. “Jimmy” Hurley, Jr., who passed away on May 17, 2008. Mrs. Hurley enjoyed reading and knitting. She is a life member of the American Legion Post #91 Auxiliary, where she served in different offices and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Lisa Coren of West Palm Beach, FL, two sons Mike Adams and wife Cheryl of East New Market and Timothy Hurley of East New Market, five grandchildren Elizabeth Fink, John Adams, Logan Fox, Rebecca Adams, and Alex Coren, nine great grandchildren, a sister Audrey Taylor of Seaford and several nieces and nephews and some very close friends. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Hurley is preceded in death by a brother Earl G. Moore and a sister in law Janet Moore.

Services will be private at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
