She attended schools at Toddville, and moved to Salisbury at the age of 14 and graduated from Wicomico High School in 1956. On April 7, 1956 she was married to Lowell T. Moore, Sr. and they made their home at Wingate and Toddville. Mrs. Moore had worked at Meredith & Meredith Seafood for a number of years while she was raising her children. Since 1989 she had made her home in Cambridge. She later worked as a bookkeeper for B.J. Linthicum & Sons, Johnson Motors and Genesis Healthcare until she retired in 2006. Mr. Moore passed away on April 19, 1997. She enjoyed being retired, the love of her family and friends, playing cards, doing word find books and just enjoying her home. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, Dorchester Post # 91 American Legion and Cambridge Lodge No 1211 Loyal Order of Moose. She had been in failing health since last May when she passed away at her home on Tuesday evening.
Survivors include a daughter Debbie A. Willey and her husband Kevin M. Willey of Cambridge, four grandchildren Carrie Rose and her husband Lee Rose of Cambridge, Scott Moore of Cambridge, Cory Willey and his wife Jessie Willey of Salisbury and Heather Moore of Cambridge. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren Scotty Moore, Colby Moore, Kirsten Kreeger, Hunter Rose, MacKenzie Moore, Lauren Rose and Meredith Rose, one brother Billy Jones and his wife Eileen Jones of Delmar, an aunt Nora Lee Dawson, a daughter in law Bonnie Moore of Hudson and eight nieces and nephews and special friends Sandra Parks, Kitty Langrall and Cathy Robbins. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Lowell T. "L.T." Moore, Jr., a brother Mace Jones and a sister Ruth Farrell.
A funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, with the Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour preceeding the service. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lee Rose, Brian Cannon, Kerry Hanson, Tony Meredith, Scott Moore and Cory Willey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O.
