Brenda B. Windsor, 69, of Hurlock, Maryland passed away December 30, 2020. She was born to the late Wallace Brockman Bell and Margaret Bennett Bell, on January 6, 1951 in Cambridge, Maryland. Brenda graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1969 and married William “Bill” Windsor in 1970. Together they made a happy home in Hurlock, Maryland. Brenda leaves behind the following family members that she loved and touched deeply. She was a loving and dedicated wife to Bill Windsor and an amazing mother to three children: Crystal Owens, Melissa Windsor, and Stephanie Hanna. Brenda is survived by five grandchildren who adored every moment they spent together as well as a dear sister, Sharon Harris.
Brenda was an exceptional wife, mother, and friend. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and church community. She did this not out of obligation but simply because of who she was. Brenda was a devoted, fun-loving mother, who always gave of her time and heart. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially enjoyed her role as Grandmom and cherished making memories with her grandchildren.
Brenda was a lady who gave so much of herself and yet asked so little in return. She always ensured that everyone who entered her home was welcomed, loved, and never left hungry. She was always ready to offer help or meet a need. Brenda loved to cook, kept an immaculate house and had a passion for tending plants and flowers.
Brenda’s life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 40:31. Her strength each day was renewed by her hope in the Lord. Brenda raised a family with a firm foundation in knowing Jesus Christ as Lord. She was fond of listening to worship music, reading her Bible and studying scriptures. She constantly prayed for her family and friends and leaves a legacy of this great love behind. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those who love her.
Please join us in celebrating a life well lived. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Brenda with her family at Grace Baptist Church (510 N. Main Street, Hurlock) on Saturday, January 16th. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. Social distancing and masks are required. Interment will follow at Unity Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Grace Baptist Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
