Carol A. (Erny) Proctor

Carol A. Proctor, 84, of Hurlock passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her home with her loving husband and son by her side. She was born in Globe, AZ on March 19, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Edward and Marguerite Hammer Erny.

Mrs. Proctor taught school in P.G. County for 30 plus years. On December 16, 1960 she married Don Proctor, Sr. She enjoyed crafting, and going to auctions. Mrs. Proctor was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Women's Club of Preston, and Unity Washington United Methodist Church where she would fill in as the organist, pianist and sang in the choir.

She is survived by her husband Don Proctor, Sr. of Hurlock, a son Don Proctor, Jr. of Laurel, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Proctor is preceded in death by a brother David Erny.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
