Carolyn Bradford, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on November 17, 1937 and was a daughter of the late James and Althea Thompson Hurley.
Mrs. Bradford graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1957. On June 15, 1957, she married Franklin Thomas Bradford, who passed away on February 8, 2018. She had worked for several businesses which included McCrory's, Phillips Packing Company, Cambridge Wire Cloth, Dorchester General Hospital, Charles E. Brohawn and Brothers, Hurley's Paint and Framing, and Dorchester County Health Department. Mrs. Bradford enjoyed gardening, reading and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 91 and Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters Debbie Kinnamon and husband Don of Cambridge, and Tammy Hickman and husband Gary of Cambridge, two grandchildren Christa Peek and husband Trae, and Clint Kinnamon, three great grandchildren Raine, Hunter and Miranda, two brothers James Milford Hurley and wife Shirley of Cambridge and Harry Thompson Hurley and wife Shauna of North Port, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Adams, Clint Kinnamon, Eddie Bradford, Brady Bradford, Jr., Willie Bradford and Elmo Peek. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Kinnamon, Troy Hill, John Harris, Charles Price, James Hurley and Harry Hurley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Gary Hickman and Rev. Randall T. Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimers Association, 909 Progress Circle, Ste. 400, Salisbury, MD 21804.
