Carolyn P. Pritchett

Carolyn P. Pritchett, 84, of Rhodesdale surrounded by her family passed away on Saturday March 16, 2013, at Dorchester General Hospital. Born on June 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dawson S. and Mildred Brown Payne.
She was a warm and caring person. Most of her life she was a homemaker raising her family. She is survived by her husband, M. James Pritchett; her daughters Joyce Wheatley, Linda Mooney and husband Kendall, Alice "Dixie" Mooney, Millie I. Wheatley and life partner Debbie Towers, and sons Sam Wheatley and wife Kathy, James Wheatley; step-children Walt Pritchett and wife Denise, Jay Pritchett and Donna Gray; grandchildren Shawn Wheatley, Erin Hinson, and Laura Mooney; great- grandchildren Parker, Paige, Ashton, Nora, Abby, and Peter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Austin, Royce, and Hunter Payne and sister Dorothy Payne.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A in Cambridge with Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Eldorado-Brookview Volunteer Fire Company, 5752 Rhodesdale-Eldorado Road, Rhodesdale, MD 21659.
