Catherine Ann Pink, 85, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on May 8, 1926 and was a daughter of the late John B. and Daisye Adams Foble.
Mrs. Pink graduated from Cambridge High School and she attended and graduated from the Eastern Shore State Hospital where she received her LPN. Mrs. Pink was a psychiatric nurse for 20 years at the Eastern Shore State Hospital. On August 17, 1945, she married Wallace Irwin Pink who passed away on February 2, 2009. She enjoyed jewelry making, line dancing and duck carving. Mrs. Pink was also a pilot. She and her husband traveled around the world. Mrs. Pink was a Den Mother and she was a past member of the American Legion Post #91 Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons John I. Pink of Annapolis, James Pink and wife Esperzana Pink of Los Fresnos, TX and Jerry Pink and wife Penny of Cambridge, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Pink is preceded in death by three sisters Rose Yoor, Jeanette Johnson and Helen Jones.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Dave Wooten officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
