Charles B. “Chick” Gore, 70, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cambridge on June 14, 1945 and was a son of the late Charles B. Gore, Sr. and Kitty Bramble Reid.
Chick graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1963. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was station in Germany. On January 21, 1966, he married the former Tyann McMahan. Chick worked and retired from the Vienna Power Plant. He enjoyed gardening and traveling. Chick was a member of the American Red Cross.
He is survived by his wife Tyann M. Gore of Cambridge, three sons Chad Gore of Cambridge, Shannon Gore and wife Cathy of Salem and Damon Gore and wife Nicole of Cambridge, five grandchildren Ashley Hurley, Kelby Gore, Conner Gore, Gage Gore and Emily Gore, a brother Jerry Gore and wife Melanie Orlando, FL, a nephew Danny Gore and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Whitten, Tonto Hughes, Jay Jones, Jimmy Dayton, Kelby Gore, Conner Gore.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 at help defray funeral cost.
