Charles N. Grinnell

Charles (Charlie) Nelson Grinnell born on September 23, 1936 to Mary Rose Durfee and the late Nelson Grinnell from Oneida, New York, crossed over to meet his heavenly father on October 20, 2014. Charlie Grinnell had just celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary with his wife Bonnie Grinnell on October 6, 2014. Charlie was the father to seven children. His eldest child, Lance Grinnell preceded him in death on July 16, 1987.

He is survived by his daughter and son in-law Lanise and Todd Mohn of Centreville, Lauryn Overstreet of Cambridge, Lara Hurtado of Linkwood, Laird Grinnell of Secretary, Lacy Grinnell from Linkwood, and Lanette Duran from Cambridge. Charlie also known as Pop Pop to his grandchildren Chad Lance, Abby Horseman Leonard, (Greg), Olivia Grinnell, Haley Grinnell, Spencer Horseman, MaryKathryn Overstreet, Nathan Duran, Morgan Hurtado, Jacob and Joshua Overstreet, Charley Hurtado, Alexis Duran, Joseph, Johnathen, and Gabriel Cuellar. He is also survived by his sister Joanne Larson from Sherrill, New York, and a niece and nephew Amanda and Aric Larson from upstate New York. Lastly he is survived by his beloved pets, Ashtun, Khloe, TiTi, and Fat Cat.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 Friday October 24th at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, Maryland. Family will receive guests an hour prior. Burial will follow directly after at the Unity Washington Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland. Pallbearers will be Chad Lance, Jacob and Joshua Overstreet, Nathan Duran, Spencer Horseman, Charley Hurtado and Greg Leonard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
