Charles W. Shannon, Sr

Charles W. Shannon, Sr., 80, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Chesapeake Woods Center. He was born in Baltimore on December 4, 1932 to the late Samuel and Lavana Wiggington Shannon.
He married the late Mildred R. Isner, who passed away in 2004, on September 15, 1951. Charles worked most of his life as a bricklayer. He enjoyed cars, taking apart and putting back together motors and he loved a hard day's work.
Charles is survived by a daughter Linda Krell and husband Edwin of Fishing Creek, two sons Charles Shannon, Jr. of West Virginia and Bob Shannon and wife Cheryl of Glen Burnie, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother Roger Shannon of Lynchburg, VA and a sister Emma Geer of Tennessee. Besides his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a brother Edward Shannon.
