Charles E. "Eddy" Willey

June 29, 1961 — January 14, 2014

Charles Edward "Eddy" Willey, 52, of East New Market, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Eddy was born in Cambridge on June 29, 1961 and was the son of R. Thomas Willey, Jr. and Ruth B. Willey. He attended Cambridge Senior High School.

Eddy worked as a tractor trailer driver for most of his working life until illness forced his retirement several years ago. His passions in life were bowling, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends and they in turn enjoyed his great humor. Eddy valued his lifelong friends, and enjoyed the new friendships he made at his places of business.

Eddy was raised in the church and maintained his faith through prayer and private worship.

Eddy will be especially missed by his sons Chuckie Robinson and Caleb Willey of whom he was very proud. In addition to his sons, he is survived by his sisters and brothers, Joyce and Joe Turner, Cyndi and Ron Brinsfield, Tim and Lisa Willey, Tom Willey III, granddaughter Kadence Robinson, loving nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

Eddy was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Tommy Willey.

Eddy's wish to serve others upon his death was honored through his donations to the Living Legacy Foundation.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD with Pastor William Davis officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eddy's memory to the food pantry of Zion United Methodist Church.
