Charles R. "Charlie" Green, Sr.

Charles R. “Charlie” Green, Sr., 77, of Hurlock passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lenoir, NC on November 19, 1939 and was a son of the late George and Beedie Chambers Green.

Mr. Green graduated from Parksley High School. He was first married to the former Rose Mary Todd, who passed away on March 8, 1999. On February 18, 2000, he married the former Patricia Tice. Mr. Green was a mechanic and he retired from the Maryland State Highway. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, camping and raced stock cars.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Green, two children Charles "Richie" Green, Jr. (Kathy) and Robin Causey (Darrin), his two bonus children Melissa Johnson (Donnie),and Kyle Riggin (Lanai), seven grandchildren Hunter Green, Scott Cameron (Ashley), DJ Johnson (Samantha), Jeremy Ashton (Kati), Kylie Riggin, Erin Riggin, and Hayley Riggin, two great grandchildren Kayden Cameron, Declan Johnson, two brothers Pete Green (Betty) and Robert Green, two sisters Peggy Nickelson and Shirley Burkhead (Joe) and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his first wife, Mr. Green is preceded in death by two brothers Coleman Green and Danny Green and a sister Catherine Jester.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth and Rev. Joel Beiler officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
