Charlotte R. (Robinson) Jones

Charlotte R. Jones, 77, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Toddville on June 17, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Leona Jones Robinson.

She attended schools in Toddville. On February 11, 1956, she married Ellsworth W. Jones, Sr., who passed away on February 8, 2016. Mrs. Jones was a crab picker for Meredith and Meredith, C&E Seafood and J.M. Claytons. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, cutting grass and bingo. Mrs. Jones was an honorary member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 91.

She is survived by her children Randy W. Jones (Beverly), Marty R. Jones (Terry), Angel Neild, and Ellsworth W. Jones, Jr. (Angie), grandchildren Robert M. Jones, Bradley S. Jones, Shannon M. Chambers, Samuel B. Jones, twins - Charlotte Neild-Bramble, William K. "Billy" Neild, Jr., Alaina E. Jones, and Tyler S. Jones,  four great-grandchildren Caroline M. Chambers, and Lilly and Gaby Higdon and Wyatt Jones and several  nieces, nephews, and many friends. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by a daughter in law Nancy (Dewlin) Jones, son in law William K. Neild, Sr., four sisters Millie Mae Robinson, Yvonne James, Janice Paul, and Dorothy Gray.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Michael LaClair officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 91, P.O. Box 70, Cambridge, MD 21613.
