Charlotte V. (Shifflett) Souder

Charlotte V. Souder, 88, of Madison passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Rockville, MD on September 30, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Elmer Calvin Shifflett and Mary Dixon Shifflett.

Mrs. Souder graduated from school in Georgetown, MD. On Sept. 15, 1960, she married Wayne Souder, who passed away Nov. 1, 2008. Mrs. Souder was a beautician. She enjoyed gardening and loved her family. Mrs. Souder was a member of the Loyal Order Woman of the Moose, and Milton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by six children Donna Carr (Bruce), Bill Disney (Germanie), Dale Disney (Laura), Linda Williams (Jimmy), Wayne Souder (Linda), Cindy Parks (Ben), 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, a brother Claude Shifflett and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Souder is preceded in death by a son Timothy Souder, two brothers and two sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
