Cherie L. Parry, 56, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Cambridge on January 25, 1957 and was a daughter of Mary Frances Adams Dean and the late Edward Mace Abbott, Sr.

Cherie graduated from South Dorchester High School. She was an LPN and was employed at Mallard Bay Care Center and later at Chesapeake Woods Center, where she had made many lifelong friends.

Cherie is survived by her daughter Ravin Bryan of Cambridge, mother Mary Frances "Manie" Dean of Wingate, a sister Cathy Donaldson and husband Jeff of Hurlock, a step brother Skip Dean of Seattle, WA a step sister Elaine Pohl of Cambridge, three nieces Lauren Mills, Leigh-Anne Mills, Angela Purdum and husband Keith, a nephew Bryan Abbott and wife Beth and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Cherie is preceded in death by two brothers Edward Mace Abbott, Jr., Michael Waldo Pritchett and a step father O'Neal Dean.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Phyllis Mills, 1817 Crocheron Rd., Bishops Head, MD 21672 or to Wingate United Methodist Church, c/o Clarence Pritchett, 1941 E. Tedious Creek Rd., Bishops Head, MD 21672.
