Cheryl L. Slacum

Cheryl L. Slacum, 65 of Cambridge, passed away at her home on Tuesday December 21, 2010. She was born in Cambridge on April 10, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Charles Greer and Louise Tyler Slacum.

Cheryl attended schools in Cambridge, and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1963. For a number of years she had lived on the western shore. Cheryl had worked for the US Census Bureau for over 20 years. She had retired several years ago. She had relocated back to Cambridge in 2003. Cheryl later worked for First Partners One Credit Union as a teller and also operated Cheryl's Paw Pets pet sitting service. She loved the beach, the ocean and shopping. Cheryl also loved spending time with her family. She was stricken suddenly at her home on Tuesday where she passed away.

Survivors include one daughter Tamara Bozman of Hollywood, MD, four grandchildren Brandi DiFlippo, Krista Bozman, Taylor and Chase Broadhurst, two great grandchildren Evan Eisenhard and Jay Lynn Bozman. She is also survived by two brothers Douglas G. Slacum and his wife Barbara Slacum of Friendship and Mark T. Slacum and his wife Linda Slacum of Newark, DE. and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Jay Hurley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday.
