Christine W. Foxwell, 72, of East New Market passed away on her birthday August 16, 2024. She was born in Cambridge on August 16, 1952 and was a daughter of the late Ulman Wattress “Buster” White, Jr. and Gertrude White.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1970, and attended Salisbury University. On June 29, 1972, she married William “Bill” Foxwell. Chris worked with Security Pacific Financial with 25 years and later with the Bank of the Eastern Shore for 5 years. After leaving the bank, she was a caregiver to her husband. Chris enjoyed gardening and dancing. She was a founding member of the Committee of 100 for the Dorchester County Relay for Life.

She is survived by her husband Bill Foxwell of East New Market, a brother Gregory White and wife Cande of Berlin, brother-in-law Roland Pete, Jr. of East New Market, several nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents, Chris is preceded in death by a sister Susan Pete.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Open Bible Church, 1619 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
