Christopher “Chris” Mark Swann, Jr., 25, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on July 18, 1991 and was a son of Lesley Manuel Sard and Christopher Mark Swann, Sr.
Chris graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 2009. He was working for Caldwell Castings and did carpentry work. Chris enjoyed video games, dirt bikes and playing with his nieces.
He is survived by his father Mark Swann, Sr. of Cambridge, mother Lesley Sard and husband Gene of Cambridge, five brothers and sisters Danielle Swann of Hurlock, Sierra Sard of Cambridge, Corey Sard of Cambridge, Colby Sard of Cambridge, Andrew Manuel of Michigan, his grandmother Barbara Swann of Linkwood, three nieces Marley, Harley and Reagan Hurt, an aunt Vicky Collins of Linkwood, Shawn Hurt who was like a brother and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris is preceded in death by his grandfather Carlton Swann, and his grandmother Regina Miley and an aunt Jolene Miley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 to 2. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
