Cleyta B. Murphy

Cleyta Belle Murphy, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Wingate on September 21, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Hammond and Hilda Mills Windsor.

Ms. Murphy graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1948. She served in the U.S. Army. Ms. Murphy was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her friends.

She is survived by three daughters Lynn Morris and husband Keith of Cambridge, Kathleen Garcia of Mechanicsville and Janet Brink and husband Billy of Florida, three sons John Murphy of Bowie, Joseph Murphy of Oxon Hill and Thomas Murphy of Baltimore, six grandchildren Katie, Ryan, Kellie, John Raymond, Haley and Nick, a sister Patricia Santiago of Dover, DE. Besides her parents, Ms. Murphy is preceded in death by a brother Edward Windsor.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. David Wooten and Mr. Steve Bloodsworth officiating.
