Conrad "Connie" V. Murphy

Conrad “Connie” V. Murphy, 82, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on April 5, 1933 and was a son of the late George and Pearl Todd Murphy.

He attended schools in Crocheran. On December 15, 1963, he married the former Alberta Pete, who passed away on August 29, 1997. Connie was a waterman. He was an avid pool shark.

He is survived by three daughters Lisa Feldmeier and fiancee Frank of Belle Vernon, PA, Denise Lamberti and husband Dean of Wye Mills, and Jennifer Thompson and husband Ernest of Linkwood, six grandchildren Samantha, Jacob, Katelyn, Brandi, Alyssa, and CJ and several great grandchildren, two sisters Becky Bradshaw, Amanda Lee Holotik, a brother George L. Murphy and wife Mary Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Connie is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters Bernice Meredith, Betty Jean Murphy, Otis Murphy, O'Neil Murphy and Elouise Abbott.

Pallbearers will be Dean Lamberti, Frank Ruscitti, Clay Turner, Jacob Feldmeier, CJ Murphy and Dylan Zandor. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Holotik, Johnny Holotik, Robert Holotik, Vaughn Windsor, and Ricky Bradshaw.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
