Daniel Lee Elzey

Daniel L. Elzey, 59 of Rhodesdale passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on August 24, 1957 and was a son of the late Russell “Fuzzy” Elzey and Betty Mae Elzey.

Daniel graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1975. On January 19, 1996, he married the former Ann Marie McCauley. Daniel had several jobs and his last employment was with Black & Decker in Easton. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, painting by numbers and cutting grass.

He is survived by his wife Ann Marie Elzey of Rhodesdale, a daughter Danielle Elzey  and fiancée Brandon McKnight of Rhodesdale, a grandson Bryan Lee McKnight, two stepsons Thomas Polidore and wife Allison of Glen Burnie and Stephen Polidore and fiancée Katie Rue of Bristow, VA, two step grandsons Jacob and Nicklaus Polidore, three sisters Carol Ann Suit and husband Melvin of Church Creek, Joyce Klendworth and husband Jim of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bonnie Craig and husband JD of King, NC, a brother Russell Eddie Elzey of Cambridge  and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Elzey is preceded in death by a sister Linda Dickerson and a brother Mike Elzey.

Pallbearers will Tom Polidore, Steve Polidore, Brandon McKnight, Dante Singleton, Russell Elzey and Kenny Mowbray.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Joel Beiler officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
