Daniel "Dan" Edward Jackson

Daniel “Dan” E. Jackson, 68, of East New Market passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on December 4, 1949 and was a son of the late Edward C. and Peggy Burton Jackson.
Dan graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1967. He retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service and served on two aircraft carriers USS Forrestal and the USS America. After the Navy, he worked at St. Peter and Paul Catholic School. He enjoyed bowling and watching sports on T.V.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Jackson, a daughter Kirstin M. Jackson, a sister Nancy L. Jackson of East New Market, an aunt Laura Thompson of East New Market, cousins Linda Aaron, Edwin Drake (Janice), Donna Phillips (Al), Debra Kelly (Terry), Albert Jackson, Charles Jackson (Betsy) and Anna Wingate.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. David Tolley officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
