Dara A. Gauen

Dara A. (Everett) Gauen 61 passed away peacefully at home in East New Market, MD on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Dara was surrounded by family as she left us to be with the lord. She was born in Dover, Delaware to Paul Everett and MaryAnn Lowe and step mother Pat Everett. Dara had several different hobbies, gardening, traveling, decorating the farm, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1980 and attended Wilmington College from 1984-1986.

Dara was a dedicated school bus driver for 20 years driving for multiple school districts. She was also a Weigh Master at Charles West Farms in Milford, DE for 14 years.

Dara was preceded in death by her sister Laurie Everett, Great Granddaughter Gracyn White, her step father Lou Finocchio and her father-in-law Richard Gauen.

Dara is survived by her husband Kenneth R. Gauen, her children Andy Silbereisen (Sarah Miller), Karen Silbereisen (Michael Fuller), Courtney Hults (Edward), Crystal Gauen (Scott Biel). Her grandchildren Dylan White (Kaylee Mason), Michael Alex Fuller, Kayley Fuller, Austin Silbereisen, Sasha Biel, Duke Biel, Emmett Hults. Her siblings Paul “Lee” Everett Jr. (Sharmini), Shelly Carroll (David Herndon), Heidi Lees (Shon), Terri Everett, Katie Coenen (Brandon), Daniel Everett.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 1pm at Secretary Methodist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
