Darlene B. (Borga) Wroten

Darlene B. Wroten, 75, of Cambridge passed away on Monday evening, November 20, 2017 at her home. She was born in Dorchester County on June 2, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Paul and Helen Stack Borga.

Mrs. Wroten graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1962. She retired from C& P Telephone Company after 38 and a half years. Mrs. Wroten was married to the late George Wroten. She enjoyed doing yard work, being with her daughter, grandchildren, and family, going to yard sales and collecting antiques. Mrs. Wroten was a member of AARP.

She is survived by a daughter April Freeman and husband James of Easton, four grandchildren Jimmy, Harrison, Caleigh and Calista, and a sister Dolly Holliday of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She is also survived by Nancy Hudson and Jean Newcomb who were like sisters and good friends Anna Ruth Pope, Philip and Charlotte Spedden and Sandy Martin, a special niece Kim Wright and a special nephew Buster Mowbray and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wroten is preceded in death by a sister Billie Borga.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
