David Earl Blisard, 65, died on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born on March 26, 1943 in Media, Pennsylvania. His parents were the late Alexina Robinson and Harold Stratton Blisard, Jr. of Springfield, Pennsylvania.
He graduated from Springfield High School in 1961 and graduated with a B.A. from Penn State in 1965. Prior to employment at the Pentagon, he received eight months of Intelligence Training from the Pentagon.
Prior to entering Mallard Bay, he resided on Belvedere Avenue with his Aunt Evelyn Webster for about ten years.
He is survived by a brother Lawrence Stratton Blisard and two nieces Nicole and Renee of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, cousins Doris Dove of Salisbury, Ruth Gray and Ann Eberspacher both of Cambridge and Elaine Spicer, Donna Carter and Jon Spicer all of Seaford. Besides his parents preceding him in death are two aunts and uncles Evelyn and Earl Webster of Cambridge and Ethel and Theoph Spicer of Golden Hill and cousins Joe Spicer, Betty Fehsenfeld and Stevie Dove.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
