David Thomas Speidel

David T. Speidel, 62, of Cambridge passed away suddenly at his home.  He was born in Pennsylvania on August 4, 1955 to the late Roger W. Speidel, Jr., and Martha J. Kramer Speidel.

Mr. Speidel attended schools in Howard County.  Upon graduation, he attended Frostburg State University, where he enjoyed playing Varsity baseball.  He was set to receive the Anderson lifetime achievement award for his time with the Frostburg University Baseball Alumni Association.  Mr. Speidel also enjoyed selling Sports Memorabilia with his company, Yesterday’s Heroes. His entire life he enjoyed watching baseball, his favorite team being the Washington Nationals.

He is survived by a brother Robert Speidel of Cambridge, a sister Susan Leigh Speidel of Woodlawn, and two nieces of Virginia.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

All services will be private.  Arrangements are in care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
