Debra L. Cosden

Debra L. Cosden, 64, of Hurlock passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home. She was born in Easton on January 21, 1959 and was a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Cottrill Cosden.

Debbie attended schools in West Virginia and later at Easton High School. She worked at Skipjack Cleaners in Cambridge from 2004 until the time of her passing. Debbie enjoyed fishing, reading, playing pool, cards and enjoying nature.

She is survived by her daughter Hannah Cosden-Hodgson and companion Tom of Hurlock, a son Wade Ross and his companion Dawn of Hurlock, six grandchildren Aubrianna, Seth, Tyler, Will, Kaleb, Kyle and grand pup Stax, three brothers Roger Layton of Greensboro, Darryl Ross of Preston, and Brian Ross of Preston, her mother Shirley Ross of Hurlock, sister in law Tracy Meredith of Cordova, a cousin Libby Carlisle of Greensboro, a very close friend Janet Coleman of Goldsboro, nieces and nephews Lindsey, Tyler, Justin, Dalton, Sapphire, John, Billy and Matt. She is also survived by her former husband Warren Ross. Besides her parents, Ms. Cosden is preceded in death by a brother Michael Cosden, and her second husband William Hodgson.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
