Delmos T. "Teddy" Tall

Delmos T. "Teddy" Tall, 65, passed away on June 16, 2014 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born on November 24, 1948 in Cambridge and was a son of Betty Abbott Tall and the late Weston Tall.

Teddy graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1966. He lived in Toddville, where he was a waterman all his life. He enjoyed reading and also dearly loved his cats and dogs. He has been declining in health with cancer for the last four years.

Teddy is survived by his wife Joyce Tall, a son Michael Tall, his mother Betty Tall and a aunt Audrey Murphy all of Toddville. Besides his father, Mr. Tall is preceded in death by a daughter Michelle Tall, his maternal grandparents Edison and Pauline Abbott as well as his paternal grandparents Harley Tall and Alberta Smith.

Pallbearers will be Tony Hayden, Shannon Dawson, Melvin Pritchett, Steve Abbott and Leroy Travis.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, Toddville with the Rev. Michael LaClair officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Betsy Hughes, 2533 Toddville Rd., Toddville, MD 21672 or Lakes-Straits Volunteer Fire Co., 2103 Farm Creek Rd., Wingate, MD 21675.
